This Acratech Quick Release Clamp with Rubber Knob and Detent Pin is compatible with Arca-Swiss compatible quick-release plates. Its double speed tightening knob allows for speedy opening and closing, and is permanently secured to prevent loss. The knob is rubber-coated, ensuring reliable operation even in cold conditions. To prevent accidental release, the clamp also has a spring-loaded detent pin. Despite its light weight of only 3 oz, this clamp has a sturdy feel thanks to its stainless steel construction and black anodized finish. It can be mounted with its 3/8″ – 16 thread, and comes with a 1/4″ – 20 adapter for compatibility with various tripod heads.

* When using this system quick release plates must be inserted and removed by opening the clamp and inserting or removing the plates from the top.
* Older style plates like the original Arca Swiss that do not have pockets or windows on the bottom can still be used with this system but the detent pin will not be very effective.
