While being only slightly larger than our Basic Film Carrier 35 MK2, it still features everything that makes our next generation light sources great: In-house customized and finished acrylic that drastically increases brightness, boasts improved light uniformity, and preserves incredibly high CRI for accurate color and tonal reproduction. Its small but mighty.

This light source is specifically tailored to be used with the Light Source 35, and we have created a range of adapter plates that allow for direct use with our film carriers. Additionally, the light source was designed with portability in mind, making it perfect for home scanning as well as travel. With its durable build, the Light Source 35 is a reliable and compact option for anyone who needs to easily pack and transport their scanning equipment.

As a result of recent product innovation, this light source comes with our custom designed and in-house finished internal acrylic that drastically increases brightness, improves CRI rating, and boasts perfect light uniformity. Lastly, this light is powered via an included USB cable. You will need to provide your own USB block or use your computer to power the light source.

Adapter Plates:
Upon launch, we have designed adapter plates for each of our current and previous 35mm carriers: the Film Carrier MK1, Basic Film Carrier 35, Pro Film Carrier 35 and Basic Film Carrier 35 MK2. These adapter plates work the same as the rest in our lineup and make sure your film carrier is firmly attached to the light source without any wiggling. It also masks the light from below, giving you a cleaner scan.

Also available is our 35mm Mounted Slide Holder for Light Source 35. This tool is made specifically for our Light Source 35 so you can efficiently scan 35mm mounted slides. This tool is compatible with both modern and vintage 35mm slides.
