Besides narrowing the softbox’s beam spread to 50, the Softgrid also reduces spill light and adds directional control for selective lighting. By limiting the spread of light, it improves the contrast in your images, resulting in a more dramatic look. This accessory prevents unwanted illumination of the background or surrounding areas.
