Introduction
High Quality Microphone Capsules
- Three compact 14-mm large-diameter capsules with high sensitivity and flat frequency response for clear recording of sound.
Digital Audio Interface
- When paired with a compatible Sony camera, the microphone supports audio transmission as a digital signal through Digital Audio Interface. This delivers high-quality sound recording via the Multi Interface (MI) Hotshoe.
Multi-Directional
- The microphone can switch between three directivity modes to suit multiple user situations.
-
Low Intrinsic Noise
- Low intrinsic noise and wide dynamic range to capture human voice naturally and clearly.
Noise Suppression
- Noise-cut filter and low-cut filter for suppression of surrounding noise and clearer recordings.
Pop Guard
- Reduces popping noise when the speakers mouth is close to the microphone.
Supports multiple mounting and fixing methods, with an included stand
- With the included stand, the microphone angle can be adjusted forward and backward, and also stand independently while recording.
- A tripod or boom arm can be connected via the screw hole (1/4 in. in diameter) on the bottom of the microphone.
Intuitive Operability
- When connecting the microphone via the receiver, the connection status can be checked using the LINK lamp on the microphone and receiver.
- The microphone volume can be adjusted intuitively with the upper dial while checking the audio input level in real time with indicator lamps.
More flexible voice recording through wireless transmission
- Bluetooth 5.3 Low Energy and LC3plus* codecs for low power consumption, low latency and high sound quality
- Wireless connectivity allows the microphone to be placed at a distance (up to 150m*) from cameras, PCs, smartphones, and other devices.
Size & Weight
- Compact, lightweight and portable for use anywhere.
USB digital audio output
- Both the microphone and receiver are equipped with a USB Type-C port and support 48 kHz/24-bit digital audio output*.
- This allows the microphone to be connected wirelessly to a PC or smartphone via a receiver, or directly to a PC or smartphone via USB cable, for video recording, streaming, and more.
Audio monitoring using headphones
- When recording via a USB connection between the microphone* and a PC or smartphone, headphones (commercially available) can be connected* to the microphones headphone out jack to monitor the audio without involving the connected device.
Connectivity & Power
- Go cable-free and battery-free by connecting and powering the receiver via the Multi Interface (MI) Hotshoe. Also enjoy the added benefit of weather sealing and reduced noise interference.
Extended Shooting Time
- The receiver and microphone each have built-in batteries, allowing for extended recording not only shooting indoors, but now also when outdoors.
- The microphone can achieve approximately 13 hours of continuous use when the built-in battery is fully charged using a USB Type-C cable by a PC or other device. Continuous use by direct power supply is also possible when connected via USB Type-C.
Microphone Out Jack
- A 3.5 mm mini jack (stereo) is provided on the side of the microphone with an included recording cable. This can be used with any camera (even non-Sony camera bodies), PC or IC recorder and other devices not equipped with a MI Hotshoe but compatible with plug-in power.
